We’ve been working with ComForCare for a couple years now. Our mom has Alzheimer’s, and we were really struggling with getting her care that kept her dignity and sense of humor in place. From the very start, the team at ComForCare offered perceptive, intentional, flexible, and skilled care. They were able to pivot around the pandemic, always with a smile and a friendly response. My brother, sister and I often reflect on how happy and comprehensively cared for our mother is. We think it has slowed the progression of the illness and certainly given her joy and safety. We are eternally grateful.

My association with ComForCare Home Care of New York began last November in order to give my husband every chance to extend the Early Dementia phase of his illness. His doctor had stressed the importance of intellectual and social stimulation as well as physical activity. The Director, made it his responsibility to know my husband well so that there was high quality continuity of care when we needed a substitute companion. ComForCare was also available at a very inconvenient time to help me through an extremely difficult event. Two different health care professionals saw my husband last week and both were pleased with how much better he looked.

Obviously Lynn and I have both learned to depend on ComForCare staff for all sorts of services. We’ve never been told “we can’t,” without your staff giving us a host of resources. In addition, with almost seamless shift coverage during a once-in-a-Century pandemic. You have given me much peace of mind.

We have used ComForCare companions for four years to help care for my dear wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in her early 50s.  Each companion brought energy, empathy and creativity that enabled her to live a full life while I continued to work full-time.  She looks forward to her companion’s arrival every morning, and each one communicates well with me to provide seamless care.  The agency also was worked with me to adjust staffing as our care needs have evolved.

My parents have always been active and extremely independent, but when they reached their mid-80s, they needed some extra help, and we, as their grown children, wanted the security of knowing they were in good hands. We could not be happier with the services provided by ComForCare. They listened to our needs and preferences and matched us with kind, reliable and trustworthy helpers, and caregivers. The Director and his team continue to be responsive as our parents’ needs change. The whole family is very pleased.

I hired ComForCare of New York for help with my mother who has dementia. I would rate the service as a 5 out of 5. I dealt with the Director and found him to be very helpful and responsive in every possible way. Whenever I left a message, he got back to me very quickly and he always had an answer or perspective that was extremely helpful. He also gave me some references that turned out to be excellent.
